Meeting place and contact phone for the Zoo Tours

The meeting place for the Zoo Tour at Lincoln Park will be the main entrance on the East side of the zoo which opens onto Cannon Drive.
Also, here are the contact cell phones to call if you show up late to the tour. If you get there late, call this number and we will tell you where we are in the zoo.

Make sure to put on sunscreen, wear hats, and bring bottles of water.

Rabbi Slifkin's Lecture on Dinosaurs July 26 time and place

Rabbi Slifkin's presentation "The Challenge of Dinosaurs"will be held at Congregation Kesser Maariv, 4341 W. Golf in Skokie, 7:30pm, Sunday, July 26th. Mark this date and place for a very enlightening evening. Tax deductible recommended donation is $18/person in advance of the lecture date and $25 at the door.

Zoo Tours July 26 Lincoln Park Zoo Tentative Schedule

Here is the tentative schedule for Rabbi Slifkin's Zoo Tours at the Lincoln Park Zoo on July 26, 2009. You meet Rabbi Slifkin at the Main Entrance to the Zoo at Fullerton:
Price: $20 per adult, $15 for a student
Rain or Shine!
If Shine: Wear Caps (or hats) and bring water bottles.
If Rain: Bring Umbrellas and water bottles

First Tour: 10:30am - 1:30pm
Second Tour: 2:00pm - 5:00pm

Zoo Torah is an educational enterprise that synthesizes two concepts. It uses Torah as an aid for wildlife education, and it uses wildlife as an aid for Torah education.

Natan Slifkin is Congregation KINS Scholar in Res.

Rabbi Dr. Leonard Matanky of Congregation KINS of West Rogers Park has informed us that in conjunction with Rabbi Natan Slifkin's visit to Chicago July 24 - 26, 2009, he will be the KINS Scholar In Residence for that Shabbat (Chazon). More details to follow. It appears that weekend is gearing up to be highly interesting and thought provoking!
